ISO 18404: The New Standard for Lean Six Sigma Certification
Achieve International Recognition with the New ISO 18404 Certification
Introduction ISO 18404
The new International Standard, ISO 18404, launched ahead of schedule on December 1st, 2015. This auditable standard applies to the PEEC programs and offers internationally recognized certification in Lean Six Sigma Green, Black, and Master Black Belt disciplines.
Certification Process
Prior to the release of ISO 18404, there were no internationally recognised certifications associated with the accreditations offered by PEEC.
The new certification is in line with the International Standards for Lean Six Sigma as described in the ISO 13053-1 standard (Quantitative Methods in Process Improvement, Six Sigma — Part 1: DMAIC Methodology) and the ISO 13053-2 standard (Quantitative Methods in Process Improvement, Six Sigma — Part 2: Tools and Techniques).
Workshops and Training
There are plans for a pilot accreditation program with PEEC in 2016 to determine what evidence will be required and what verification process will be followed to certify the aforementioned competencies.
Unlike previous standards, practitioners in their chosen field will undergo regular, evidence-based checks from either their manager or a certification body.
Attend one of our future ‘Implications of ISO 18404’ workshops to learn more about the new ISO 18404 standard.
